i had some champion plugs in my truck when i switched them to autolite 2923's or whatever they were. i want to try a different plug to see if it will help with the idle problem. i remember someone talking about some ngk plugs but cant remember the part#

I am putting Bosch Platinum +2's in tomorrow. Not sure how good they are, they were just a good price. I have about 63,000 mile on a 2006 Dakota so we will see.

I just put the NGK BKR7E stock# 4644, doubt they will help with the idle problem. Can you explain more about your idle issue?

So the 3923's will work on the 4.7 also? I used the standard autolite copper ones on my 5.9 with good results.

my truck just has a rough idle with an occasional choke like its going to die. when it chokes it drops to like 400 rpm and 700 rpm and the truck shakes like a ****, i just rev the crap out of it and it goes away cause i dont want it to die. the normal rough idle is just an in consistent shake and its really annoying, the rpms stay at 700-750 or so normal and they dont jump around at all..but the shaking is always there

edit: it doesnt/hasnt thrown any codes yet so i dunno wtf to do, i know there is something wrong cause my truck shouldnt be occasionally choking out like its going to die (happens like 1-2 times a month, happened more frequently than that until i reset the pcm by leaving negative off overnight) i took it to the dodge dealer to have them fix a few things and to have them seriously look at my truck why its idling like that, they hooked it up to some machine they had and drove it around and are not seeing any misfires and its not throwing codes so they dont know what the problem could be, the only thing they said was that the gap on some of the plugs is a tiny bit off on some of them.

That sounds more like injectors, sensors, or something clogged more than a spark plug issue.

Mine used to do that when I first got it. I had it in to the dealer for some warranty work and I noticed on the sheet after that they flashed an update, hasn't done it since. Before that it had actually stalled out from that a few times.

When I had that problem I took the TPS out and sprayed the snot out of it with cleaner and the same for the throttle body and that cured my problem
