New Member.. and I fixed my headlights today.
Hey guys, new member here on DF. Was primarily on DT but that forum for our 3rd gens doesn't get much action anymore. I figured I'd come on over here.
Here's my truck:

After spending a summer in TX a couple years back, my headlights took a beating. Finally got around to sanding them down today. Started with 500, then 800, then 1.5k, then 2k, then 3k. Finished with a polishing compound buff. Results:
Scratches:

After 500 grit sanding:

After 2k grit sanding:

Finished product:

Straight from the Rvinyl website, "Tint and Protection light tint can be removed, but can not be reapplied."
I bought the 'Dark Smoke' ones. Kinda wishing I got the 'Light Smoke' but we'll see how these turn out. They're cheap enough anyway.

hmm..lemme know how much light it blocks...im kinda trying to get more light out the front, this would be counter productive. Thats why I got the taillight covers instead of niteshading them likie a lot of people do. So I can take them off for inspections...but those headlight tints would look sweet, especially the "blue smoke" since I have a blue truck....

Looks good!! It's amazing how much some people will pay to get their headlights cleaned up when for less than $15 (and that's not buying a pre-packaged kit) you can achieve superior results. I also polish and wax my headlights and taillights on a regular basis to make them last
