painted headlights

Default painted headlights

This weekend I painted my headlights with nite shades the same way I did my tail lights. Here's some pics to keep everyone happy lol and I ordered a black grill from rockauto

and I sprayed my antenna with plasti dip

Looks good! I just had my first experience with Niteshade on my brothers headlights. We baked them apart and we needed to spray the reflectors. Its a little tricky to work with, but I will probably do my tails in the next few weeks. Keep up the good work Marc.

Thanks yeah it is a little runny if your not careful. I had to redo the first coat on the headlights and taillights cause of runs, but it looks good when you get it right.

Ive learned you have to "mist" the first coat to barely even cover the light, let it dry and then you can do thicker coats. If you mess up, a little nail polish remover and a rag will take it right off. Its like a fresh start then

Nice I'll have to remember that. I would just wet sand it with some 1500 grit paper and start over.

I'm going to paint my tails and heads sometime either this week or next week as well.
