Default Leveling kit question

Hey guys, so im looking to get some lift on my truck.

The forum recommends that I keep it within a 1.5" to 2" lift.

So i found the following kit on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Fro...Q5fAccessories

However, those are only the front spacers so i would need to buy the rear blocks separately.

Anyways my question is, how big should the rear blocks be if I want to keep the truck leveled?

Thanks!

That's the only thing you need. If you put blocks on the back it will go on to have the rake like the factory look.

It will be leveled with those spacers.... Good Luck!!!

So a 2" spacer in the front takes care of the slope. What if I want to give the truck a slight lift for bigger tires? How big should the front spacer be and the rear blocks?

I just had mine put in yesterday. 2.5" spacers up front & 1.5" blocks in the rear.

Here's a kit that Rusty513 just installed on his 4x4. Good price, too. I believe, suspension wise, there is no difference between a Raider and a Dakota??

2.5" will technically make the truck sit level. With my 1.5", I have a 1 inch difference on flat ground between the front and rear wheel well height.

That being said, unless you want to keep the rake, I wouldnt lift the rear. Any tire that you can fit in the front, will fit in the rear with no modification as far as I know. Guys normally have to start trimming the front with 265/75/16s and a 1.5" leveling kit if I recall.

Thanks guys, that was great.

My first step will be buying the 2.5" spacers in the front.

The 2.5" should level the truck, and i will see if I need any additional height increase once i look up some bigger tires.

You should have no problems then with a 2.5" then. With a 4x4, it could cause some problems eventually.

Sorry about my comment before, a 2.5" would make a 4x4 perfectly level. Your 2x4 might need a little more, but it should be close. Im not sure how much lower the fronts sit on the 2x4 models.
