Default Need help with diagnosis

I was driving to work yesterday and as I got around 40-45 mph. The truck started shaking bad, almost felt like a warped axle lol. As it was shaking it started to squeal loudly and pull to the left. I had the steering at 3 o'clock to keep it going straight. I pulled over and check the lug nuts, they were tight. I am thinking I have a seized caliper, which warped my rotor. Here's the kicker though, I get in my truck and drive home, all is well. Still shakes ever so slightly, doesn't pull. I can tell my rotor(s) are warped now pedal pulsates, plus that god awful squeal. Any ideas?

I think you hit the nail on the head with you self diagnosis...The reason all was better once you jumped back in, is that the caliper had enough time to cool down and release itself.

I agree, sounds like a caliper, or you threw a wheel weight, or both

yep, sounds like you got it right, or a wheel bearing....jack it up and see if you have any play in the wheel.

It did it again on the way home from work tonight. Still don't smell brakes nor is either rotor abnormally hot. It has a small vibration when going 55 and when the brakes are applied it rattles the teeth out of my head. Wheel bearing or seized caliper? Thanks again for all the help guys!!

when you find out let me know, may be the answer to my mystery vibration (though mine is not brake related)...

Ok When as soon as I get a chance after work I am jacking it up pulling the wheels and removing the wheels and then I am taking off my caliepr's and turning my wheels. If they turn completely free then it is the calipers, if not then it is a hub. I will keep you guys updated
