xr-1 is borla's race muffler, they flow awesome and sound great. My magnaflow is straight through designed. I had no idea boost creep could occur if your exhaust wasnt big enough after the turbo. Thanks for the info

Donkey great info.

My mechanic said something similar. There is no such thing as too big of an exhaust after the turbo.

The IAT is not used JUST for WOT, it is used to trim the fuel under all conditions. Same thing goes for the CLT and a bunch of other inputs.

The only sensor that has any different function during WOT is/are the O2 sensor(s), they are generally disregarded in fuel calculations during WOT conditions.

I like to place the IAT as close to the intake runner as possible, but still withing a common area or plenum that feeds all cylinders.

The crank case breather is better served by plumbing it into the intake before to the turbocharger inlet.

Well the turbo is mounted. I'm very happy with results, that thing is SOLID!

Took me about two hours ( its ****ing hard to drill through that frame!!)

Next, I'm mounting the pump and running the oil lines.

Still waiting on SAFC unit to arrive so I can install injectors.

Here are some pics

This is gonna be one sick setup. For your exhaust dont waste your mopney on a muffler or res. It will sound way better with just pipe. Also did you buy hi-flow cats? Because your gonna need them with boost.

Looks like we're working at about the same pace. Turbo was mounted today and I ran and secured the intercooler piping. Also, after doing some reading I decided to bypass a muffler and just have a tailpipe w the wastegate dumping into the atmosphere. Now comes the fun part. Oil pump/lines, BOV, injectors, 2 bar, gauges, boost controller...etc etc etc

and this is just to give you guys an example of where the turbo is mounted, the tailpipe comes straight of the turbo, over the frame and out in front of the back tire. Also, to show you how high up the turbo is, the air filter is actually sitting over the top of the gas tank....and ps, whats up with this quota on the amount of pictures you can post, or am i doing it wrong?
