So i took the turbo off today for the rebuild.

I took some pictures while under there so you guys could see the set up.

How bad of shape r the seals? How rough was doing the trans cooler...with the stage 3 vb I got u got me thinking about getting one

 

The turbo was spraying oil out of the exhaust so I know the gasket is in pretty bad shape.

I picked up the trans cooler from auto zone for about 60 bucks. Took about 15 mins to install. The instructions are pretty straight forward.

Thanks donkey, but that is essentially the same thing. A restrictor, but its also got a filter in there. I don't think I will need a filter just for the turbo.

Remme, that looks right. What size opening is that?

 

0.063, said it was enough for a journal bearing like mine
