Default Performance Chips

Hey, Im new here so here goes nothing.
Im looking for a performance chip to put in my 07' dodge dakota SLT with the 4.7L V8 and have no clue what to choose, or if they actually work. Any help? I've looked at ones like G-force chips and SLP Chips and the reviews r kinda iffy. Some say they work(at least the ones on their sites do) and some say they hurt your car(which people said on forums). So if u could point me in the right direction that would be nice.

dont bother with chips they dont do anything. Go with SCT or Superchips. just depends on how you mod.

Welcome to DF! post pics of your truck

Yeah, you want a tuner, not a chip. I vote Superchips if you are just planning on some bolt on mods. If you are looking at doing motor work, SCT is the way to go.

stay awy from the "chips"...I love my superchips tuner, really woke my truck up, expecially with the optional transmission tuning package. I'm afraid that I'm starting to look at an SCT now though.....

GForce chips are garbage! Superchips Tuner are awesome! I wish I could get 1 for cheap, but the cost way to much for my crap a$$.

X5 on the superchips. I am using the 87 octane setting and the pre-installed TM settings and I can tell a difference in how it runs. PLUS I do believe my mileage has gone up a little as well (still checking it)

Hell, people are pulling over $250 for a used tuner ..... I only paid $285 shipped brand new for mine. Lol. They dont lose their value.
