New ram 1500 express
Yes Dodge make great looking truck and that 07 is some nice digs there. I just gave up on total lack of MoPar quality. My Dak is finally paid off so I'm looking at Fords since I can't stand Government Motors ideologies and hate the though of a foreign rig in my driveway. Ford has been getting extremely high marks and they are all that’s left to buy that is American without baggage.

If you do decide to go with the ecoboost F-150, get the extra warranty. My boss has had 4 turbos replaced in 30k miles. He doesnt drive hard, its used for transporting coolers from our warehouse to stores... its pretty much all highway miles. the turbos just get way too hot and kill center sections. I dont know if its a wide spread thing, or just his truck. but hes about fed up with it. ford may be buying it back.
Haven’t really looked into all the options and packages yet but a guy next to our business has a 2011 F-150 and it is awesome. He had it for about six months and loves it. I believe he has a 5.4L V8. Not real sure about any other elements but it appears to be loaded. I will look at left-over 11s in the fall. Shame the Rams do look also awesome but I'm skittish to that ever again.

you could head over to the Ram section and just ask the question...I'm curious too if the Rams enjoy the same issues or different ones....I'm really sorry yours gives you such a time. Knock on wood, I've only had to replace a u-joint so far. Everything else is holding up nicely for a truck with 70k on it.
Beware the 6 speed Mustangs - they are having widespread and so far, un-acknowledged (by Ford) manual transmission failures, ranging from hard shifts to grinding, to outright gear failure. The suspects are soft gears, soft synchros, and poor manufacturing practices from China (shocking), where Getrag has the units assembled.

And I know everyone has their right to spend money as they wish, but I just made the LAST PAYMENT on my truck - and I am so pumped. 67,000 almost trouble-free miles (wheel bearing, small oil leak, shocks), and now the truck gets to pay me back.
New rides are fun, but the feeling wears off in a few weeks, and you're saddled with a new payment! I know too many people who rationalize themselves into 60 and 72 month loans with "it's only $35 more a month!" ... until 2017!!!!!!!! And don't get me started on leasing. But to each their own - I for one am going to enjoy the extra $400 a month in my budget.

I think a lease is great if you are someone who has to have a new car all the time, and you really cant afford the type of car you are leasing. As long as the lease is open ended, you dont really have to worry about mileage. When you are done, you just trade the car in at the dealer and the lease company never sees the mileage. Worse case senario, you have to make up a couple grand in depreciated value, but way better than paying the fee for the mileage.
There are always mileage restrictions, but when your open-ended lease is up and you get a buy-out value of the vehical. You take the vehical to your dealer, trade it in on a new car/lease, and they pay for the value of the vehical. The mileage is irrelevant, as the lease company will never see the odo reading. Two things can happen though:
1. The trade in value the dealer offers you is more than what the buy-out is. Its a win-win. You went over on your mileage, and you made money on the deal.
2. The trade in value the dealer offers is less than the buy-out value, and you either have to pay a couple grand or roll the negative value in to the new vehical. Most of the time though even if you have to pay, this will be alot cheaper than paying the mileage pentalty.
