Default New ram 1500 express

Im sure you guys have seen the new express model right? Well if not its pretty much a base model 1500 with color matching bumpers and a hemi. I have thought long and hard about this. Maby next spring if i can save a few bucks i might trade in the dak for a express because its the only NEW vehicle i can afford with a hemi. If i dont get a ram i looked into the 2011 v6 mustang i know its a ford and a v6 but it has 300hp and gets 31 mpg. Thas alot for only 22k and 300hp is plenty to strat with. What do you guys think?

Traitor, at least stick with a Dodge. Mopar or no car.

Its not that i dont like my truck but i want more power and i can get that with a hemi. And for the mustang im not really a ford guy but i like the looks of the new mustangs and 300hp for 22k aint a bad deal.

I talked to my dad last night, and Im looking already. I got sent an offer a few months ago to get a brand new 2010 Ram Big Horn quad cab with the 5.7l on a lease for $299 a month. Mileage wouldnt matter because I would just trade it in at the end of my lease and pay any difference, and I dont mind having a car payment. I love the idea of always having a new truck in the driveway too. Now its time to play the waiting game.

Good choices Ruger. If you don't really "need" a truck, the Mustang would be the way to go. More fun, cheaper to operate and I'm sure there is a ton of aftermarket support.

My parents came to visit for Easter and we rented a new quad cab Ram (no Chargers or 300's left and I insisted on Chrysler) since my Dakota doesn't have comfortable seating for more than 2 people (club cab with rear seats removed). It's a nice truck but personally I much prefer the feel of driving my Dak, the Ram felt nimble for it's size but it still felt big and heavy. I just have more fun driving the Dakota so personally I would keep the Dak. That said the Hemi might have alleviated that.

I do and dont need a truck. If i go to the lake my buddy that i share a jetski trailer has a h3 so he can tow it and we always go together. But i like derbys and enduro races so i would need a truck for that but i can always get one. If i get the mustang i will double my mpg witch might save me a few bucks if i have the same payment.

Trust me i love driving my truck and having a mid sized truck but the power isnt there. A hemi would fix that or a 300hp v6 6speed.

A $299 a month lease isnt bad but i wouldent lease a vehicle because in the end you have nothing. Just my.02.

Im still on the fence about everything and i would have to save Around 5k to do anything and for a 20 year old kid who likes to party and have fun its not easy. If i do save the money and decide to keep the truck i might buy a dsm or fox body mustang idk.

There's always the route Blown took.

In all seriousness though there's another factor here. Is your Dakota paid off? If it is I'd say that's a huge argument for keeping it right there. The less things you have to make payments on the better. I'm certainly glad I don't have to worry about paying off my truck AND my student loans simultaneously. A DSM isn't a bad idea if you fit in them, performance per dollar I doubt you could do better.
