HVAC issue
My dad has been working with his local Dodge dealer and the corporate STAR group within Dodge for over 1.5 years now to resolve an HVAC problem that they now tell him it is normal and refuse to look at again.
I'm trying to determine what normal is.
Here is a video of what I am speaking about. The HVAC is set to heat and floor only output but keep eye on the sheet of paper on the dash:
Gen III owners please do me a favor.
Turn the heat on
Turn fan on either of the two slowest fan speeds
Turn air output to floor setting
Does your truck cycle the air output between the floor and defrost automatically?

Your correct: Normal doesn't mean right.
I understand this concern my dad has is most likely in a large percentage of the field population and could be considered “normal” as the STAR report indicates but it doesn’t mean the HVAC system is operating as the Chrysler engineers designed it and as explained in the owners operation manual.
