The truck is back at the dealer now. I guess they will try replacing the fuel gauge this trip. If that does not cure it then the truck will be long to them. Lemon law kicks in. Later RJD

I too have a 2011 Dakota and am having the same problem with my gas guage. I have had it in once and they changed the sending unit. It worked for a day and then dropped down to empty. I filled up the tank and the guage still sits on empty. I am going to take it back in as soon as they get a loaner back.

RF-4C's, SR-71's, C-141B and C, C-17. I worked the occasional C-5 at enroute maintenance locations.

Unhappy

Haebar: Have you had any success getting your gauge to work? So far our truck has been back 4 times. Last time was Aug 10 and they changed out the Gauge cluster. Still no help as it failed again yesterday. They have changed everything they can change. So today back to the dealer to See about getting new truck. Later RJD

Do you have any aftermarket electronics installed in the truck

Reagor: No after market items added to the truck. It only has 1200 miles on it. They have had it almost as much as we have. Later RJD

RJD: Since they changed the sending unit it has failed a few times but seems to be working more often than not. Whenever I get ready to take it in, it starts working again. It has been working steady for about two weeks now.
