What are your similarities in model packages? Are you both 2011? Both v8? Both have factory tow package?...obviously both have fubar fuel level systems but I wonder what other common features you have

Maybe even close vin number/build date/software version etc....

I mean between the 2 of you with the same prob, all the parts in the system have been swapped,

I would hate to see you both get lemon lawd with out a solution, then we have to wait for a tsb to find out what happened

Otherwise this blows you dump your hard earned $ on a NEW truck to avoid problems and the dealer has it more than you do...do you drink yet?

Haebar:
We also had the sending unit replaced. No help. Like you when it fails by the time you get it back to the dealer all looks well. However yesterday it happened again to the wife and she was close enough to the dealers so they could see the problems. I will be meeting with them on Monday. Only thing that could be done is change the fuel tank out. Doubt if that would do anything unless there is some sort of misalignment when installing the sending and level unit.

Reagor: My truck is a big horn with minimum options. Cruse, tilt, Power windows. It is a V-6 Automatic. Ya I have one now and then more lately.Later RJD

How many pieces are we talking about? You got a sending unit, a wire and a gauge.

We are talking four parts. Sending unit, Float unit, Wire from unit to gauge and a gauge cluster. Later RJD

Haebar: Any further updates to your fuel gauge issue? I'd like to hear your results as to what fix the problem. I'm still having an issue with mine. Later RJD

My fuel guage is working fine now so far... It has been working well for over two weeks now, even after a fill-up. They put in a new sending unit about 5-6 weeks ago and it acted up now and again until I was thinking about taking it back to the shop but everytime I got ready to take it in, it was working. So far, so good. The sending unit change was all that I had done. It may act up in the future and then I'll take it in immediately so they can see what it is doing. I don't want to be stuck with this problem after it is out of warranty!

Plus they are making the last 2011 Dak tomorrow, so your lemon law recourse to get a new replacement would be limited if it takes too long to go bad.
