Default Someone help me out with tuning

I had heard that Hemifever? could tune a 3.7L. Could someone explain this, or point me to the right post? I have the 2005 3.7L. I was wanting to know what all this entailed (money, time etc.) I wish I had more time to search, but I dont. Thanks in advance.

265 for canned tunes and an extra 100 for custom which involves a wideband gauge. best thing i ever did for HP was custom tuning.

email him at hemifever@aol.com

sean is the bomb!!

Default I'm confused..

I dont get it. Shawn (hemifever) says he can tune my truck (3.7l v6) with sct. If you go to SCTs website they do not support this vehicle. So does that mean that they (SCT) just never wrote any tunes for this truck? (if so, thats lame). I have also talked to other tuners in my local area, and they just look at me like I am not worth talking to since I have the 3.7.

Sct allows custom tunes. Aka more agressive fuel and timing curves specific to your engine and mods. Where as superchips has canned tunes that are better than stock but still safe for all users.

Shawn said he did a 3.7 last year and pulled 14 more hp out of it. Do you think that is worth the $$$?

14rwhp for $300 is a pretty good deal when you think about it. There arent many mods you can do and get that much gain for that cost. HP is expensive. Custom tuning allows you to tune to the max. Canned tunes have to take in to account different mods and driving conditions, including the quality of the fuel being used. If you are always willing to fill up with a quality 93 octane, you can tune much more aggressivly than someone that only want to go buy some cheap corner premium gas.

So your saying with SCT you get one agressive tune...and have to stay with it...does it do custom shift schedules as well? I'm all for it if it's worth it with practically no engine mods. How many HP do you get with the SCT?

my friend in the 2g secion got a sct cannedd tune from hemifever on his 5.2, stock other than intake and muffler. with the canned tunes sean will give you 3 tunes, an 87, 91 and 93 octane. he said that he usually sees 4.7 get between 15-20 peak HP over stock, all that depends on mods etc. but more hp down low too.
