I checked the drive shaft and U joints they all tight and no play, also can not find any grease fittings.
little update... I also feel the TUG before I make a Complete stop....

There wont be any grease fittings anywhere onj the truck unless someone replaced the stock with and aftermarket setup. YES, I know its dumb...

I would suspect a caliper sticking. When you let off the brake it doesn't let go right away. I can't remember if it was Altair that had a couple stick on him, but it has happened before. Which side is it tugging towards?
i have this very same thing happening to me it started when i got the truck not bad at first but now its a hard CLUNK! every time i drive off from a stop light or stop. when i checked under the truck it looked to have had the pinon bearing seal leaking and covering everything around it in oil and i was low in the diff not much, so i guess that the bearing is going bad or is bad? thats the sound i heir?
