Exclamation How is this 1/4 time possible!?

so went and did testing with my gtech timer. first few runs were mid 15's 4x4 lauches were better than 2wd. then on the last one, i let off the brake right as is was bout to roll forward i go WOT,

0-60: 5.84
1/4: 14.13 @107.2!??!?!?! WTF

not sure if thats even possible, or if i should be happy with that time with the chance its terribly off.

by previous best was 1.4~ slower in the 1/4 and almost 1.25 slower 0-60. and 15mph faster? i dont believe it. must have been off.

here is video proof of the #'s. not sure what to make of this.

i did find this online: speed is usually inflated by 3-4mph and time is almost 100% accurate

The unit is very accurate, but the users are often very ignorant of the device and how to use it properly. All of these devices ship with time and speed rollout set to 12"...in other words the timer does not start going until the car has moved 12" based on acceleration and time. The rollout value is adjustable, and it is set at 12" to come close to simulating a drag strip timer where if you stop just as the staged light comes on, you will have approximately 12" of rollout at most strips.

Were you able to back it up with a a second run? World record holders have to do it twice for it to count.

Have you any time slips to compare the accuracy?

it must have been a fluke, went back and did some more, granted the engine was a bit warmer than normal but it was back to being slow again. mid 15;s and a few 16;s. lol i cant explain it.

Sure you didn't do anything different for that run? Get out and rub the engine with cheetah blood?

I was going to say magic pixi dust! I think that stuff is rated to last about 15 seconds when injected through the throttle body.
