Unfortunate? or Awesome? you tell me
Ok so I knew Dak's were beasts but dayumn! So this is rather unfortunate i think actually, but here is the story. So this weekend I was hauling roughly 3000lbs of office furnature for a friend with a flat bed car trailer (weight includes the trailer weight) with my 05. I haul trailers all the time with my dak and have never had a problem like this before. But back to my story, I was going no more than 35mph down a residential road that was rather crowded with roughly 6-7 car lengths of clearance between myself and the little ford focus that was driving in front of me when the lady in front of me suddely decides to stop on a dime for another car that was stopped and waiting to turn left (this is a 2 lane road so there is no tuning lane and this was not at a light). And I mean it when I say it, I have never seen a car stop so quickly in my life till now. so I reacted immediately and slammed on my brakes, well needless to say that wasnt nearly enough, and after this point there was nothing i could do but hold on tight as the oncoming lane was swarming with traffic and just off to my right where i could swerve to miss through the grass was a telephone pole... I locked up all four of my band new Nitto Terra Grapplers ( =[[[[ ) and left a skid that was at least 100ft long before slamming into the back of this little Ford Fu$&us. That load didnt even think about letting me stop, it just kept pushing me and felt no sympathy. On top of all this misfortune, the jacka$$ that I rear ended was a hispanic woman that literally spoke zero english... It didnt hit me until I got 2 minutes deep into ripping her a new a$$hole that I realized she didnt even know what the profanity that was coming out of my mouth meant, and at that moment I just walked away back to my truck, took pictures of everything and sat there to wait for the cops not saying another word to the b!#$h. So this is what my whole weekend has been surrounding. Not so fun, I know but the pictures speak for themselves, even with the load that I was carrying there was almost *******ly no damage to my truck. Her car on the other had I can not say the same. The pictures are posted below that shows the bada$$ness of dak's.

.....and her car. thats what she gets for stopping on a dime. maybe she will pay more attention to the road next time.

•Trailer brakes are recommended for trailers over 1,000 lbs (454 kg) and required for trailers in excess of 2,000 lbs. (907 kg). •
The severe braking you did (if without proper trailer braking) shifted the trailer load (in part) to your rear bumper, unloading your front tires some, increasing your stopping distance.
Seriously? Plain and simple: You were at fault. You screwed up. Luckily no one was injured.
