Took a couple of looks to see what you meant! We do some dumb things without thinking, don't we?!

I've always been accused of being a "safety sparks" - always concerned about doing it right to prevent injury, but as I tell my Scout troop - "nobody gets hurt, because I hate paperwork!"

So motor and tranny are in the truck. Waiting on the AC bracket and the ac compressor, as well as the Pacesetter Long tube header. Then we can make the custom exhaust, install the cutout and tune the truck should make some good power

This is an update Erik from Lashway wrote on LS1tech ...I will try and get picture soon but I have been slammed with work lately

Little update for you subscribers out there...

We made good progress on X-Raided this week. Fortunately for us, the stock fuel system operates at a constant 63 PSi at the rail, so we should be good at least for part throttle operation. WOT may be a different story, but that's what swaps are all about, problem solving! Worst case scenario we change pumps, but I doubt we'll have to do this on this build. That stock pump really hums and makes good pressure sooo

We also got the harness in. We bought the harness from a company on eBay that makes really nice aftermarket harnesses for like $400. Top notch for sure. Even comes loomed and heatshrunk. Really nice stuff. Now we just have to figure out what we're going to do with the trans harness to the 4L60....might be tricky, but we'll get it!

We also adapted a stock fbody gas pedal into the truck using the factory pedal mount. We're going to run a Lokar 36" throttle cable through the firewall and onto the TB. Sould work perfectly.

As far as exhaust goes, we found that 1 3/4" Fbody Pacesetter Longtubes worked perfectly on this truck on the driverside. The passenger side will require modification, so we will see. I am thinking that we're going to have to clearance a bit of the frame, or the primaries. We'll see. Should be good.

We also got the column shifter hooked up to the trans with some modification to the bracket near the pan. Works like a charm.

We'll be able to use stock driveshaft in this case, but we will have to shorten it about 3-4 inches and swap the yoke to a 4L60 yoke to fit the output shaft. No biggie.

Radiator is back in, and now we're going to wire in a custom Deraile e-fan. Should work well with stock shroud and cooling system on this swap. If not, a larger RAD will be used.

That's about it for now...more work and updates coming this week!

Erik
