my deductible is only $100 for comprehensive.. im waiting for something crazy to happen so i can get the dents taken out of my bed corners at each end of my back bumper. they came with the truck and i hate them..

sucks about your truck dude. good luck... you could always rip the bed off and go flat bed. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

Update!:
the truck went into the body shop that i use here in town. What an awesome job they have done. so far you literally wouldnt tell anything happened. also going to get them to touch up my rear bumper where the tonge of the trailer previously hit when i had the ball on the bumper. when i made a turn when the a$$ end of my truck was high and the trailer was low, the tonge while attached to the ball hit the bumper and put two dents in. pain in the but. but will be done at little to no extra cost to me.

here are two pictures.

primer was just sprayed this morning. they are going to let it dry over night, sand it out tomorrow and spray the color onto it. hopefully have it back last thing tomorrow or thursday morning.

Reminds me when we ran into a pole on the passenger side of the truck. The damn pole was 3ft off the ground and you couldn't see it. Couldn't look at that side of the truck until it got fixed.

Ok - we all do stupid **** or have it happen to us. Don't feel bad.
Here's my embarassing story.
My wife's sister just bought a new to them Altima (2 years old) and the very same day she bought it, she was going on a trip. She asked my wife to drive them to the airport with the new car as the wife and I only had one vehicle. The last thing she said to my wife before she got out of the car was "don'y do anything to my new car"!
That night, my wife parked the new Altima behind our Accord but off to the side. I had to go somewhere that evening and had my 8 year old daughter with me. Something you do a thousand times - quick look in the mirrors - throw it in reverse and start backing up and throwin on your seat belt. Works great when you never have two cars in the yard.
Funny I got in, looked in the mirror - saw the car but somehow I just forgot and threw it in reverse and crash!
Holy f#@$!!!!!!!!!!!! I took out the driver's side fender and scuffed the headlight. They didn't even drive it or own it a day and they were gone for 7 days.
I ended up taking it to the body shop and spending $750.00 I didnt bother with insurance (BTW - I pay 70.00 per month and deductible is 250.00 - only good thing about getting older).
Anyway I rushed them to get it done - not because I wanted to not tell the sister in law but just didn't want them to see their new car banged up.
Just remembered one more even stupider thing I did - try to keep it short.
Picture it - 20 years old - always out drinkin with the boys. One Sunday after a night of partying, I asked to borrow my buddie's Ranger. He had his snowmobile on the back so he said sure just help me get my sled off and you can take it.
I helped him pull the sled off - proceeded to get in his truck and put it in reverse and backed into his sled...
I jumped out and said Holy **** - Sorry! He just looked at me and said - "Go". I jumped back in the truck and left.

See - what you did cant possibly top that!
Glad it's all fixed.

I had a yellow 2000 2wd that I kicked sideways, lost it and took out a light pole along with my box side and leaf spring mounts, and it sheered the hub off the rear axle and sent my rim and tire bouncing into the street. Frame was straight and it was only about $850 for a new to be rear diff (posi) and some rear brake work. I wore it around and always parked beside the nicest car in the parking lot Bimmers, Benz's etc

My story sounds like yours. I had a 2002 Mazda b4000 4wd. I decided not to use the 4wd on this icy road with unsold new houses, I was having fun kicking it sideways when I lost it and went sideways into a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant won... big time. New doorshell, pulled running boards, and most the truck repainted... $2400 dinged to my insurance.
