Yeah I bought from Amazon, not another retailer on their site. That's good to hear but I haven't actually looked into it yet.

i have the two buckets with the actual center console and that midland is nice but mine is almost twice as wide mine is a cobra 29 wxnwbt you can check it out to get the specs on it here https://www.cobra.com/detail/29-wx-n...technology.cfm. ill take a look at the glove box and look at the book end idea as well.

Yeah that one is much nicer than mine... and it might be a pain on the dash if it's bigger. Mine was super cheap (like $25 maybe $30) How much did you pay for yours?

a little over 130 but worth it, and im thinking its going on the glove box because its to tall for the center console pics to follow for opinions sake before i actually mount it

oh before i forget i got some upgrades while i was on deployment

K&N intake

new magnaflow dual exhaust IMAG0268.jpg

and i got a 2" daystar leveling kit but the pictures wouldnt come out right so ill have to try again later

I have my ltd classic on the glove box.. it was such a PITA to get too. I was going to figure out how to do a roof mount. but no dice yet.

My Dad could be you're new best friend. That's only CB he will buy, always gets a Texas Star amplifier to go with it too. He has fabbed removable mounts for every vehicle he drives so he can swap real quick. Nothing as small as a Dakota though, I might have him take a look at mine to see where he would recommend. He's pretty crafty with that stuff.

yea with it on the glove box i have to slightly lean over to get to it BUT the mike can go next to it by the radio so as long as its tuned all i have to do is key the mike
