Stock are easy! You only need the aftermarket fogs and a OE Foglight/Headlight switch.
Then go to the dealer and they have to starscan it and turn them on. VERY easy I did it to mine. Hardest part was finding the OE Switch that would ship to Canada
Do the dealers typically charge a fee to starscan the computer for this? About how much?
The Dealer here did mine for free, took 5 minutes.
That's really cool that they did it for free. I have a feeling that the dealer near me won't do it at all or they will charge for it because they don't like to help with things like this. I have asked them questions before and they were never helpful at all.

sounds like my dealer. they are all a$$holes, I hate dealing with them but it's the only dodge dealer within 50 miles so I have to use them (for parts, recalls, etc, never for routine maintenance). Some dealers will charge you just to hook up to their machine, much less do anything after they are connected...hopefully you have more than one dealer to chose from.
They shouldn't be on all the time, there is a light sensor up on the top of the dash that should be sensing
I'm guessing that sensor isn't on models that don't have the A position on the light switch cuz I don't see anything that looks like a sensor on my dash.
