He is towing the Jetta behind the Dak, so a bike trailer or hitch mounted carrier is not an option...just sayin. : D

Yeah, I wasn't referring to you using a bike rack on the rear hitch, but instead was referring to being able to use the hitch for a trailer and also hooking up a cargo carrier. I haven't run my hitch haul with a boat, but if a dual bike carrier clears above the trailer hitch so should a cargo carrier...

HammerZ71, where did you get a hitch like that. I have never seen one like this before. it would be great to tow a camping trailer and a bike rack.

bike in the bed, car on trailer, car full of gun cases.

if you're towing the car, you might as well fill it to the brim.

my dirtbike wont fit my 5'3" bed (shoulda got the 6' bed) easily so we have one of these for the trips to the mechanic

I made that one, but I have to admit I didn't "invent" it, I got the idea from one I saw online at e-trailer.com. I just had happened to have the materials here, Cut down an 18" hitch extender I had (which is the bottom piece you see in the pic) and I had bought a 8' length of 2" square steel for another hitch related project and had like 5' leftover. You can tell it's home made if you look real close at the pic as the bottom is powdercoated and the two uprights and upper hitch are primed and painted with black Rustoleum...

This is the one I saw on etrailer.com that gave me the idea:
