Default shift kit vs programmer

i seen they sell a transgo shift kit and ive read how u guys use the programmer to set up shift points.

using the programmer is it hard on anything? vs having the shift kit in the actual trans?

i seen they have headers for our trucks but i dont see where anyone is running them, how come? they are a bit expensive $400-500

lastly can anyone give me an idea of about how much i would gain doing the following mods? i know its no guarantee and hard to really guess #s but just looking for a rough guess

superchip
intake
throttle body
headers

thanks

superchip $300 - 15-20hp, base shift management feels great, $40 gives full control of shifts.
intake $30-$200 (ebay special to name brand) supposedly 5-10hp, better throttle response
throttle body $200 (get hipotek) 1+RWHP (but better throttle response and overall feel, needed if you plan on going all out)
headers... almost no gain I would think, great sound though with high flow cats. headers are nice and all, but our trucks have decent flowing manifolds and dual cats so the restriction is low there. The best thing you can do is remove the Y-pipe, it's pretty restrictive when comparing to an after market Y

Not too sure about the transmission question, I'm sure someone will chime in. But the way I see it, a real shift kit will be loads of cash to install, whereas the $300 SCT with a $40 upgrade for trans management is close to a 3rd the price. Nothing beats the real thing I'm sure. If you got both though, I am not positive but I think SC can make a custom program that can include the shift kit into the program so you can have double.

ya i was going to call transmission place up the road and see how much to install the shift kit. its only $50 but i bet install is like $300 lol

i came from a camaro and they all said headers were a good 10-20hp, granted i know all vehicles are different. but the $400-500 headers are for sure not worth it? good cuz thats expensive especially if its doubtful to help. i wondered why i read none running them

so $600 for intake(going to try home made cuz the ones that sell are just plastic, not aluminum and i already have k&n filter) superchip, and throttle body. i was considering doing a HO swap i can get one for $1600 biggest part would be doing the swap. and the superchip would still work with it, so would be great.

would it not be worth doing the ho swap? any opinions or people who have done it?

SCT costs 265$. and no trans control.

I'm pretty sure the hipotek is worth better than 1 hp. I think the difference between a 68.5mm and a 70mm bore is 1hp, but going from 65 to 68.5 is , I thought, 10-15 hp??
