Which direction are the shackles supposed to face? I just installed them but I'm wondering if I did it backwards. I'm also wondering if there is any kind of problem that could arise by having them backwards because it seems like either way should be fine. I may not have the advertized drop from it though, perhaps a 1/4 inch off but that's no biggy.

Anyhoo, my shackles have the flat side facing the rear of the vehicle.

The flat side should go towards the rear.

 

If I remember correctly each side has a small angle on each of them I'm pretty sure each of angles faced each other pointing towards one another.

Mine also had a left and right.

 

 

I will have to take a look when it's lighter out. Hopefully I got the left/right thing down by luck. I do have the flat side facing back. It was BAdassR/T's old kit, any markings were pretty obscured.

Kind of hard to see the difference from the pics, but standing next to the bed is a huge difference. Will be easier to get stuff out for sure.
