I know you were able to successfully tune Dusty's 05 Dakota with 5.7L Hemi/6.1L cam after he swapped out the 4.7l. I will do the same, just go with a bigger hemi, and eventually boost lol.
Oh man, that's going to be one sickass build, when do you think you'll start that monster? Are you still getting the Durango?

Either way, don't tease us so much!

If I decide on the Durango that will be after the steering problems are worked out. It would be a daily driver.

Once I get off this island I will build another Dakota. The island of Kauai does not have Autozone, Advance auto, etc. Parts have to be special ordered.

I will have to go with an 06 so it will be SCT supported.

I wonder if you switched to an 06 PCM if you could tune it that way. I emailed Mr. Powell to see what he says.

I've been working up a plan to Kenne Bell supercharge an 08+ 4.7L by swapping to an 06 PCM.

I got an email from hemifever. You can use an 06 Dakota PCM and that would be totally programable. If you use one out of a Ram you have to ensure the cluster displays are compatable. Now that puts three options on the table for me

06 Dakota 392 Hemi Swap
06 Dakota swapped to an 08 4.7L with custom cam grinds and Kenne Bell blower.
08 Dakota with swapped 06 Dakota PCM with custom cam grinds and Kenne Bell blower.

Thank God for for SCT, lol.

So if I was to get a pcm out of an 06 dak then all I would need to do is get a tune from hemifever and I'd be good? Or would I need to get it programed with a 06 stock tune first?

Chances are you would have to ensure all the wires in the harness match up. The ones that don't will have to be splI iced by hand. Once hooked up you would load the tune into the PCM before the first start.

Ha ha, I started looking for another Dakota this morning.
