Exhaust Kit
Yeah you read it... and its a slightly over beaten topic but I dont care...
Anyways, I have a hole in my current system at the one hanger of the tailpipe. I am waiting back on some numbers from a couple places locally, but if they arent what I think the should be I am thinking about going for a kit. I have already had some numbers come in and one place wanted $350 for a standard steel piping, single exit and I was supplying the muffler which is recockulous... beings I only paid $150-175 back in my hometown which is 3.5 hrs from here. So my question is to anyone who has installed a kit, whats your thoughts, opinions, issues you experienced, anything dealing with your install etc? Btw if I go with a kit, I may be jumping ship from what I am currently running, but I'll leave it a secret for now until I figure if I am going to a kit or not... Thanks guys

You know my story...$200 kit off ebay, single in/dual out FM 40 series that I HATED. Swapped it out with a magnaflow. Added stainless steel tips and had everything welded after I installed it. Total into my exhaust at this point is @$600. I should have done some research on here first...lol...coulda had a nice borla or gibson system for that kind of money.
lol yeah I know... I am kinda pissed off right now. These places around her def. rip people off... especially after that first quote. I am half tempted to cut the bitch off and dump the exhaust right in front of the rear axle, downward of course...

MBRP makes an awesome exhaust! I did the t304 kit, and other than having to loosen the clamps and adjust it a little after 1000 miles or so (the pipes must have warped a little with the heat), Ive never had to touch it again. Fits perfect, and sounds awesome.
Billy, I just commented on your FB status. My good friend growing up moved down your way, (harrisburg (sp?)) he took his chevy to Murphy's Automotive for a complete and custom Magnaflow, they do flowmaster too. Hope this helps man...
Billy, just get on Summit and buy yourself a nice muffler, and have a shop weld it in. they are quoting you an entire system. you dont need an entire system. you just need to cut out the spot with the hole and have it replaced.
I would go with borla if it was me.

Here's what I did, so far so good. I'm going to get it welded soon, but the clamps are doing just fine.

Where is your rust anyways? I have a repair to make before the Y-pipe on the drivers side pipe, water flows to this point and drips off and that's where the rust is, kind like what happens to the oil-pan.
