Is there anyway to keep them from opening?

OK, I'll bite...how about a little more detail/background. By "keep them from opening" you mean so they don't open when you want them to? As in weld them shut? Do you mean the latches don't work properly so when you shut them, they just swing back open? You want to remove the door handles so you can't open them? What vehicle do you have them on? A Dakota with suicide doors sounds cool, post some pictures.

I agree with Kent, need more information.

My answer would be... Don't pull the suicide door handle ever and they wont open.

lol...

Frankie probably wants to know if there is some sort of child-lock for the suicide doors? Don't see why you would need it though, unless you like to drive with your doors open, or removed them like a jeep.

Could you run a bolt through the bottom into the rocker?

I'd have to take a better look when I get home, but from what it look like not really cuz it's not easily accessible when it's closed

Pull the plastic/carpet panels and weld it shut all the way around. That way you get some rigidity from them while you're at it.
