Mine are 04's if that helps..and I got the Mother's polish instead. Seems to be reliable and a friend recommended it to me. I am going to try to do one of the wheels in the morning

I'm not sure how or when each type of wheel was available. I think they were both available in the same years.
Mine were from a 2005. I think you can tell the difference like this:

The face of the wheel is separate from the lip portion of the wheel = chrome clad.
The face of the wheel and lip are one solid piece = polished aluminum.

Yeah you're right..mine are the polished aluminum. The problem is that the year I have is clear coated so using polish doesn't work. I think I'm going to get some of that aircraft remover crap to take the clear coat off so I can polish them

I just had an "incident" with oven cleaner and it removed some paint pretty good... (try in an inconspicuous area first...)

The aircraft remover stuff supposedly works really well. Rustoleum makes it and Autozone sells it..they even have a spray can version and I think you just let it soak on the area for 10-15 minutes and then remove it. I hate to make a big deal out of this little project but I think these wheels polished and waxed nicely would look sick on the truck. I would take more pride in it if I made them nice again rather than spray paint them..plus I could always sell them if I got rid of the truck or just needed money $ $

Well, here's a teaser pic for you guys..had the time to clean up ONE of the wheels today. I like the way it looks and think that the polished look looks awsome with the silver paint. Removed clear-coat and polished with Mother's aluminum polish and Mother's powerball mini..I used almost one tin of wax on that lone wheel but it looks 10x better now. My only concern is that they will get dirty very easily now but I will try that Wheel Wax product.

P.S. truck was washed for the first time since November probably today....eeeeek and I didn't do it myself. I'm slackin.

I'm kinda jealous of silver trucks.. everything looks good with them, I'd like to see more of that exhaust too..

I personally dig the mineral grey ones but that's because that and black are my favorite colors..like norma jean's truck. I love that finish..but thanks brother the bright silver looks awsome all summer long when its clean! My truck really made me respect silver but now it is becoming the dominant color with all manufacturer's, even more than black and white. Anyways, here is another exhaust pic..Magnaflow si/so and I am unsure of the brand of the tip but I like it.

If it helps, I used to run SRT 22 on tire size 265 40 22. No rubbage, and I didnt have a front level kit back then. Sold rims, rode too rough on the rubberband tires, I miss them dearly though.

Looked good man. Glad to see I shouldn't rub. Especially with an OEM offset
