With this lame winter, my 20's are going back on soon though.
if this kit will fit 31.5 with a small amount of trimming what would happen if i used a 2 inch kit and maybe some wheel spacers to widen the stance alittle and provide a bit more room when the wheels are at a full turn.

I honestly did not notice a huge difference between stock and the monroes. Even with the spacers. (mine are on top of the strut). Which lead me to believe that my stock struts were either replaced at some point or they just happened to be a good set.
Dakkkota beats the **** out of his truck. He is one of the lucky ones not to have any front end issues with a 2.5" kit. My tires measure out to 31.4" and like I said, with the 2" kit I have very minor rubbing when going around a corner, it is just on the inner edge of the splash guard. I have not trimmed anything, I just live with it.

My trimming is only the wheel well liner and inside of the front splash guard (a really small amount). If you use wheel spacers, or a lower offset wheel, (pushing the wheel out more) the trimming will involve more of the front splash guard and also the front bumper fascia. The trimming would be much more visible.

I'm amazed how everybody want to stuff every inch of the wheel well with rubber, my opinion is some gap looks good. Even the stock size 265/70/16 is a good size tire, just going up one size is plenty on our trucks. Going up the one size also gives us plenty of more tire options.

Ive had my 2.5" leveling kit on my 4x4 for about 2 years now with no problems (knock on wood) with blocks in the back to get the rake back

What is the point of the rake?

when you say going up on size do you mean going up to a 17 inch rim?

So when the truck bed is loaded, it is level, so you can see over the hood better still.
If you didnt have a rake, and loaded the truck, your now pointing more upward and therefore see less infront of you. Along with braking, since I believe most is done by the front brakes

I'm pretty sure he just meant tire size, because going up one more size is further within the range of a lot of Full size options. Especially for 20s.

I like the raked look anyways, makes the truck look like it's ready to go do sumthin'. But yea, it's practical purpose is to retain drivability when you use your truck in a utilitarian way.

lol not me. I'll be a truck guy til I die, and even after that. I can't stand driving cars.. even though they get twice the mileage.
