You will never get that lower bolt out by yourself. You will need to use a impact gun on one side, and a chisel hammer from the other side. Might also need to use some heat.

If and when you ever get it out, Smother that bolt in anti seize.

Yeah I tried using what air I had and a hammer. Multiple combos and it didn't budge...

I worked an hour beating the crap out of my drivers side. Only came out once the rubber bushing started to melt.

I must... I can't get the passenger side out now... It went as far as it wants to go with the press... I think I may need to get a hold of some torches to heat it up more than my propane one...

Just went and rented a different press. The one I got from oreillys was crap. Looked like it been used hard before I got it. Got a fresh one from autozone. Maybe I can get a grip now on the balljoint.

Is it the bottom strut bolt you're doing? I tried both sides today and I gave up... I used heat, air, and ya know what I even used the ball-joint press I rented, which worked quite well... for a minute.

I got it 1" out before the balljoint press became useless and gave up completely.... the other side I used a cutting wheel to slice the strut forks off. At least I was able to get one of the new struts put together though.

I came in the house swearin up a storm and the wife said "is there a part that will make you shut up?" and I said "YES! $400 worth of control arms!" then she told me to just buy the damn things so she didn't have to hear me bitch lol. I don't have the ball-joints pressed in yet, so I can return them.

I wish they sold the press-in bushing for that.. I would just cut it out, save the bolt, and press a new bushing in.
