I "rented" a ball joint press from autozone. You actually just pay the price to buy it ($120), and you get it back when you return it. So, it costs nothing to "rent". I doubt there is any air tool strong enough to press out a ball joint. Your in hydraulic pressure territory. I just used a standard socket and used a long pipe over the end of the handle for more leverage. Popped that sucker right out. I was able to use the same kit to press the new one back in.

Just get the press real tight then hit the control arm with a BFH it should start moving. This worked for me I had it out in 10min. Also you might want to add some heat!!! Good luck!!!

Don't got any heat, have a SFH lol. Borrowing a breaker bar tomorrow. Going to attempt to get the left side done then start on the right. Is it normal for the 3 strut bolts to be semi tight? That kinda scared me when I took them off.

Mine came out easy. Did you hit them with WD40 or something?

PB blaster. I didn't have a breaker bar. I just had a air compressor that's made to shoot a nail gun at best lmao. Not really designed for a impact. My dad just told me to go pick me some sockets and breaker bar up. Yay no more borrowing lol.

I can't for the life of me get that ball joint out or even the lower strut bolt.. Got the nut off but the bolt spins with the bushing inside.

Use a pickle fork to apply pressure to the taper on the stud. I think auto zone calls it a ball joint removal tool or something. They are cheap. 20 bucks or so.

lower one goes down and out of the control arm.. or it should, and goes up and into the spindle. I always just pickle fork the spindle off and then BFH the joint out of the arm. a pickle fork set can be rented from autozone.
