Stock Brakes / Rotors junk?
I purchased my vehicle and they did the brakes / rotors before I took it off the lot, 16,000 miles later, I need to change out the pads/rotors, has anyone experienced this? I remember on my altima my brakes / rotors lasted 40k before swapping them.... Also would anyone recommend Powerstop Drilled /slotted rotors with their ceramic pads?

I called them up on it a few minutes ago, the pads were replaced, and the rotors were shaved not replaced, and no they didnt use factory like they said, herb chambers for all used cars leaving the lot they throw on valucraft...better known as valucrap. At least at that dealership. So maybe this explains it, but anyways, I am going to get some PowerStops or EBC.

I just had the front pads, rotors, and left side caliper replaced on my '05 Dakota, with 29,000 miles on it. This is the 2nd complete front pad/rotor changeout I've gone through, the first being at ~12,000 miles due to rotor "warping". That means I'm on my 3rd set of pads and rotors in less than 30K miles. Rear brakes have been fine. I also had 'em flush and replace the brake fluid.

Just measured my factory rotors at 71,000 miles, and they still have over half their life left on 'em with almost no noticeable warping or scoring. Pads were replaced once at 45k with about 10% life remaining, and the second set (also OEM) still has plenty of life to go.
I've always driven using the rule that anytime I have to make a quick stop (or had to make use of the brakes frequently during numerous starts/stops), and then get caught at a red light for what will be a few minutes, I'll bump it into neutral or park and let off the brakes so the pads don't warp a spot into the rotors from excessive heat. Or if it's not going to be a long stop, I'll slowly drag the brakes while at the light so the rotors at least warm all the way around evenly instead of at just one spot. Doing this method has prevented warping for me on many vehicles.
