Any reason you didn't go with the bushwacker extender ones? Is one better than the other?

I prefer the shape of the TRX flares.

hey guys! so I installed my 2 inch front suspension kit a couple months ago giving me 5 inches with the body lift got my rims got my 285-75-16 bfg all terrains on and did my trimming and everything looks great and drives great! buttttttttt pretty soon after installing the leveling kit and tires i noticed a pretty gnarly suspension squeek on the drivers side (the side that ALWAYS gives me trouble) when braking. handles fine brakes fine no issues going over bumps or 4 wheeling. but sounds F***ing awful and seems to be getting worse. I dont think it is brake related but parts of it sound like it could be in theory.. SQUEEK SQUEEK SQUEEK (as i brake harder it gets deeper and slower (seemingly as the wheels spin slower) and before stopping sounds like a clunking... it is really getting on my nerves.. Im a lower level mechanic but I do know a good bit and even my coworkers and higher up technicians cant figure it out I was thinking it was bushings maybe upper control arms bushings? a couple of my coworkers agreed but Im also wondering if it could be my lower strut mount bushing because doing the suspension kit the bolt was seized up in the sleeve and took an hour to get out with blow torch and a 10 lb sledge which wrecked the lower bushing pretty good unfortunately i had n choice but yeah any advice would be great because im really considering ripping everything out and replacing every bushing ball joint tie rod and anything rusty under there just out of shear anger at rust haha but that sounds pricey so leaning away from that option..... opinions welcome! PS my exhaust came the other day flowmaster super 44 I wanna get this straightened out though before I start on something else..

hey guys I don't know if this is the appropriate thread for this, if I need to start my own thread just let me know. My question is now that I have my new tires I need to reset my PCM ( or whatever it is that controls the speedometer) to the new tire size. My problem is that the tire shop computer only went up to 2440 something millimeters and mine measures out at 2610mm. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the superchips programmer will also do this, but as I'm looking around I haven't found that information confirmed yet. I had the dealer told me that they could not do that unless it was a stock tire size which a 285 70 17 really isn't. So, help, what's the easiest way to get my speedometer back?

Barry, if you are running over a 265/70/16, which it sounds like you are, then getting a programmer (Superchips, Hypertech) would be the easiest way. Hypertech makes a speedo-calibrator #752501 that you may want to look at, if you decide that you do not want the advantages of also having the more aggressive tunes.

Default 265/70r17

Gents, this is my first post, but figured I'd help add to the confusion of the thread lol. My truck is a 2005 Quad Cab ST, and I just installed:

-- 17" Fusion Wheels, 5" backspace, +12 offset
-- 265/70R17 Cooper Discover AT3

With no suspension mods or body lift, I have almost no rubbing at all. In fact, the only place I currently rub is during a decently sharp turn, the outside edge of the tire tread rubs on the rear of each front fenderwell. I actually think that if I removed the small rubber mudflaps, it wouldnt rub at all.

Here's how it sits with the wheels/tires:

Glad to be back behind a 4.7L and on the forum!

Hey guys! New member here. I have a 2008 dakota sxt 4wd and will be putting on a 3" body lift and 2" leveling kit in the next few weeks.
I have my eyes set on the Worx black beast 803 rims. Would the 17x9, 5x5.5 inch rim fit with 4.53" backspacing and a -12mm offset? If so, how big can I go with the tires with minimal trimming? Thanks!

Default Kit

is there a complete kit that comes with front levelling and rear blocks. Or do I order them separately?
