Default SuperChips questions

So before I blow money on superchips i just have questions. How hard is it to work and what exactly does it do to the truck? Which one do you guys usually buy? Do you have to be really truck savy to understand it? Just give me any answers you have. Thanks.

Also if you ever have a question about the tuner, Just ask some one here. I would even give someone my cell # and talk them through it.

On a scale from 1-10, 1 being easiest... I would give super chips a 1 for simple follow the prompt tune, and a 5 for custom tuning options like trans and torque.

Here are some guides that have been created. One of them was me.

And don't forget 10 for customer support....just hope you never have to call them for anything.....make sure you update with a HARDWIRED internet connection. I know, in all of todays technology, their updater won't work over wifi, or at least they wont support updating over wifi.

Pretty easy for tuning. If you get too deep into the "advanced features" menu, it can get really confusing really fast. I try and stay out of that part of it.

Just updated mine yesterday..I actually used the one hardwired computer in the house so I couldn't tell you if anyone but jkeaton has had issues with Wi-Fi update. Took 20 minutes, no issues. Power gains from the town tune are phenomenal, primarily the shifting/torque management.

Being that mine is manual, how much of a difference will these tuners make?
