Default seat belt chime

my seat belt chime is so loud it disrupts any communications.

other than the procedure noted, is there anyway to reduce the volume of the chime?

Default chime - speed alert

on my 2010 charger srt8, there is also a speed chime - goes off at 75 mph. is there any procedure to disable this?

some have told me that it is a country or regional setting that may not be on US cars.

Notr that I am aware of. You can put some tape over the chime module to muffle the sound.

You should post this question in the Charger section. This is the Dakota section.

I guess since this got bumped, I still haven't been able to get the warning to stop going off. I'm thinking that the wire for the seat belt got cut somehow.

The wire or the switch could be the problem. You should be able to find a connection from the seat to the undercarpet wiring harness & if the seat switch is just a simple pressure switch, you should be able to unplug the wire going to the seat and add a jumper to "close" that circuit and make the computer think there's always someone sitting on the seat. It should be fairly easy to have a look at the wiring diagram for this circuit and confirm whether this is the case - a jumper would be a very cheap and easy fix.

Have you seen the previous page where I show the wires for the seat belt chime being cut by the seat track?

I forgot that you had posted that back when I first made the thread. I keep meaning to go under the seat to fish them out but laziness keeps getting the better of me.
