Well, I blew the speaker in the bottom of the passenger door and the speaker in the pillar of the driver side door so I figure I'll upgrade. So that leads me to my question.
What size are the speakers in a 2005 Dakota with the Infinity sound system?
And also, what brands do y'all recommend?
Thanks,
Tommy

Yeah, I'm definitely going another brand. But I'm not sure of the speaker size.

Go to Crutchfield.com. They aren't always the cheapest, but they have a good selection and will tell you what fits and doesn't fit. If nothing else, you can decide exactly what you want/fits there, and then shop around.

JVC and Sony speakers are not very good at all for the money, wouldn't do them. Kenwood are OK. Pioneer and Alpine, as previously stated, are good. (Same goes with decks.)

Quickest way top find out what size your speakers are:

http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/c...car%2fcar.aspx

Easier and faster to do some searching on your own instead of waiting on one of us to do the searching for you....

If I were you I'd get the 6 1/2 crutchfield recommends 6 1/2 and 5 1/4. I recently bought new door speakers and I bought the Alpine SPR50's size 5 1/4. Unfortunately they were a bit small so I had to buy an adapter to fit it in properly. The speakers sound perfect the only problem I have now is that the door panel does not close properly on the bottom. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Gonna fix that later though once it warmer out.image.jpg

I swapped my entire truck. 6 1/2 rockford component set up front and memphis coaxial in back. My truck didn't have the factory system. So now I have a amp on all 6 speakers

6 1/2 alpine type R's all the way around. i found the premium setup in the club doors, and cut it out, put another one it there on each side, making a total of 6 full sized door speakers, powered by a kicker 850.4
