Well you may need to get a set machined after all, and if that's the case, see if you can remove the nuts & washers from all 4 & if so, you'll only have the bolts to worry about. Then what I'd do is to get that 1 bolt from FrenicX and have the machinist use that as a template to modify some bolts to suit your purpose. You'll need the head on the bolt in order to set the alignment, so the easiest approach (and probably the cheapest) would be to start with a bolt that is the same diameter, but too long. The machinist will need to cut it down, thread it, and cut the 3 lands on it for the cam washer that you'd be reusing. Then to finish them off, you can have the machinist make the washers to go against the head - these will need to be affixed (probable welded) onto the bolt to make it a working cam bolt and then you're all set. To set up the fixed cam on the cam bolt, the machinist will need at least 1 of the cam washers to put onto the lands to align the fixed washer for welding.

I believe that these bolts are metric, so the machinist will need to make sure you get a metric strength 10.9 equivalent (I think that's the bolt strength of the cam bolts - maybe FrenicX can check to see what's marked on the head of the one he has.

Here's a thought, I missed the opportunity on mine because I didn't think of it until I had everything assembled. The bushing sleeve should be lubricated and it isn't, so I thought of drilling about an 1/8" hole all the way through the control arm, rubber bushing, and the steel sleeve inside, then drilling out a bit more on the control arm so that it could be tapped for a grease nipple. With a squirt of grease every few months, you should have smooth operating lower control arms for the life of your truck. I used anit-seize compound so that will be a lot better than nothing, but the grease nipple approach would have been better (in my humble opinion) - now, because I'm too lazy to take it all apart again, it's going to stay without them.

I had to cut mine also back in the summer. On my 2010 and was able to get 2 and I belive I also got new bolts from my local dealer. They were not cheap at all I think it cost me around $40-$50 for them and they took 2 days to come in. I live in Ontario Canada. If you like I could try and see if they may be around for you. I have 2 dealers just down the street from me ( I did not read the hole thread so I don't know if its cheaper for you or if you found any closer ). But let me k ow if I can be of any help to you.

I sent you a PM

Any website that has this part listed is affiliated with a dealership or with chrysler in some way or another. So a national backorder affects all of them. It's lame, when I did mine, there was no backorder.

But, the Chrysler 200 was just released then, and apparently uses the same part so the demand must have skyrocketed, even though this shouldn't be a very common part to have to replace... I think the Caravan uses the same part as well. But, the good news is that they will keep making it once they get past this backorder, since the platform the Chrysler 200 uses isn't being replaced until 2015.

FrenicX. Can you send me the Bolt for a few days? I've got a guy who can make them, and it would be good to have a sample for him to take measurements off of. I'd need it for 2 days, and can send it back to you.

If you can remove even 1 nut and washer, you shouldn't need a sample to make new ones. The nut will give the machinist almost all he needs to know with regards to the bolt size and it's associated thread - the bolt length can be measured from what you can see, just remember to add enough for the washer thickness at both ends. The washer will give him all the dimensions he'll need to make both washers and how deep to cut the lands on the new bolt (the picture that FrenicX posted will give him a perspective of where everything goes). The only thing to keep in mind is to ensure that the lands extend beyond the adjustment slot in the frame so that the outside washer can fit on and then that old "standoff" nut will be able to pull it all tight. My guess right now would be that he's need to start with a 10.9 strength metric bolt (of whatever diameter the current bolt is) that's about 20 cm long - he should be able to do most of the rest on a lathe.
