05 Dakota w/Infinity 6 Disc CD -Install Aux Port
I have the listed Radio and would like to install or have installed an Aux Port (plug in) to plug in my iPhone or iPod.
I am able to do some basic work myself and need to know if I can do this with out removing to much of the Dash and is there a Port in the back of the Stock Radio to plug in an Aux Extension and route to the Dash. This in my only concern at this point. I think I can do this myself if there is a Port in the back of the stock radio to plug in an Aux Extension.
If there is Wiring work involved I will probably have someone do it - don't want to screw up my Radio.
I think Best Buy does this type of work but I have not checked on the cost.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Welcome to the forum. There are no aux ports on the OEM radio in 05. I had the same 6-disk changer in mine, with the uconnect, sat and all. In 06 they started putting an aux input, but only a single CD. These units are plug and play. I did not mind losing the 6 disk changer since I could now plug in my music source. It is really simple, pry off the radio bezel and unscrew the old radio, install the new one. Thats it. Here is the link when I asked the same question. I managed to find a used one on ebay for like $20 or something like that.

I've been looking for the same thing for the past couple months so I was glad when the link to the thread was posted. Just type the part number into the search bar on eBay and it'll give you the options you eat. But it will cost more than $35, shopping included. I'm assuming it's just plug and play once the bezel is off, regardless of the speaker system, correct?

It was for me and I had the infinity system with satellite and uconnect.. As long as the plugs on the back match. These radios were used in many vehicles in the Chrysler line, Jeeps, PT Cruisers, 300M's, also the Mitsubishi Raider. You might be able to score one at a pull a part. I was lucky I found one so cheap. I actually sold my 6-disk for twice as much, so I made money doing the swap. ; )
Edit: Hered's one for $49...by it now...better jump on it.
