Default How to replace Aux power outlet

The aux power outlet below the stereo system has never worked for me. The one in the centre control works fine.

How do I get it out to replace it? Also can I just buy on from princess auto or do I have to buy one made for the Dakota?

Ok. Next question. Have you actually checked to see if it has power using a voltmeter it are you just plugging something into it and it does not work?

I haven't actually tested it, just tried plugging something in. I will test mine and see if I have any power.

Two screws on the bottom of the center bezel, the the whole radio bezel lifts right out, if I remember correctly. Unplug a few wires and remove the bezel, then you can replace the outlet, if necessary. There were a bunch for sale in the classifieds here on DF for like $5 each, by Weedahoe I believe.

Awesome thanks. When I find my voltmeter I'm gonna test it, and go from there
