Custom suspension (mid/long travel) happening.
i dont think a .5" smaller tire is going to keep me from rubbing at full stuff. eventually i will try to chop and clearance for some more room. need about two inches at the fire wall and some of the support members for the hood/fender can be trimmed. i was also able to move the wheel forward with all of the adjust-ability of the new CAs for a tad more clearance. But it will have to hit pretty hard to get full bump. Especially since I have it set to about a 2-3" lift right now. i have more lift than before and still more down travel! Crazy.
FYI: these FOAs sing a bit. the dual rate slider squeaks a little sliding on the shock body. clocking the springs helped a bit, but FOA says it is par for the course. no complaints here.

You ever heard a trophy truck fly by you? Those things squeak and rattle more than a dog toy lol. Yea i was going to mention i was also extending my wheelbase by an inch or so to clear the firewall.
dirt fab, you were the inspiration for this; you and the horrible factory front suspension. the guys where i live just dont get that i put all this money and work into the suspension and didnt lift it up to the sky. the wider track is so much more stable, even with out the sway bar. And the front end is planted. i am ready to put this thing to a little off road testing; cant wait to put foas on the rear. its going to look funky with glass and the factory bumper for a while

Lol pretty crazy i inspired you without even finishing my build :-P now THOSE are words that move people haha. Yea most desert trucks have a pretty low squat to keep the center of gravity low. But they make up for with tires that move 3 feet up and down when theyre scooting through the desert. Im so tempted to start my build thread but im afraid i don't have enough pics to please the masses.

Lol nope. Trucks at the point of no return. No more stock front suspension components. Things are cut and things are tacked for mock up. Maybe I'll open the build thread sometime this weekend. I got alot of side jobs coming up.
Haha! Well maybe I'll gather up all my pics and put together a progress thread. Dude everywhere i go that bumper is quoting out at like 250-300 to ship. Didn't even cost that to build.
Well, I suppose you might just have to make a trip out here and we can go campin', huntin', sling some lead, drink some beer, chew some grit...am I missing anything?
