Default exhaust manifolds

Anybody know of some headers that will fit the 08 and newer dakota with the 4.7? I've got manifold leaks, looks to be just the gaskets at the moment, don't think the manifolds are bad but they have to come off to put new gaskets on and I was thinking it would be the perfect time to put on some aftermarket headers but I'm having trouble finding anything; everything seems to be for the previous model trucks (07 and older), Anybody got some links or info?

I would broaden your search to include Ram 1500s. They used the same engine.

A lot of those come up but do they fit in the dakota's engine bay, the truck is smaller than a ram.

I'd ditch the headers idea and just repair what you need with your exhaust manifold. Make sure there are no cracks in the manifolds, and have a new set of bolts on hand with the new gaskets. The leak is usually caused by broken exhaust manifold bolts, so be prepared before you begin.

And yeah, there isn't enough room to fit the headers that are made for our Dakotas, so definitely a no-go on any listed for a Ram 1500.

Think any made for the 05-07 dakotas would fit my 08 or is there too much difference in room and the updated engine?

Im also tending to think broken manifold bolts. Way more common than most folks realize. Usually a fairly cheap fix, depending on the break.

Not sure about fitment of other manifolds.

I recall the 05-07 headers wouldn't simply fit in those years, there was usually some space issues. I'd say almost 100%, they won't work in your truck.

forget headers waste of money, the factory logs flow just as good, the restriction is the y pipe collector, spend the $ 75 and get a larger one or have a custom shop fab you up one, I did and went with a 3 inch single catback system from magnaflow,

Where did you get the larger y-pipe collector? Was it custom-made or pre-fabbed?
