2006 Dodge Dakota Brake Lights are STUCK ON after Master Cylinder replacement?
So, I replaced both the Brake Booster and the Brake Master Cylinder on my 2006 Dodge Dakota ST with 2W ABS. The brakes now work great, but now the brake lights are stuck on! :-/. The brake pedal does not go up far enough to depress the brake stop switch now. How to remedy that? Did I miss something with the booster itself?

Sorry, it's going to be dark soon so I was trying to utilize the daylight left lol. The pedal does not reach the switch now. I edited original text just a few seconds ago.
Now that I think about it, the push rod on the engine side of the brake booster, would that affect the pedal height inside? The brakes work great now, so...
That, I don't know.... only way to find out would be to pull the master cylinder, and push in on it, and see what happens. Shouldn't have to disconnect the brake lines for that...
So it would seem that if the pedal travel doesn't reach the switch, then at least there shouldn't be any brake drag? I could just add a spacer to the metal tab of the pedal maybe? lol
Gotta be a way to adjust that..... Or, maybe the answer is replacing the brake switch? I think they are 'auto-adjusting' at installation, and you get ONE shot to do it right.....
When replacing the brake booster or master cylinder it's usually a good idea to change the brake switch as well. Replacing those parts can cause the brake pedal to sit at a different position. The brake switch is a one time use part that needs to be set when installed. It's relatively cheap from the dealer ($40cdn) and can be found on rockauto.com.
