Thanks for the info, I have a feeling that is what is causing my problems as well, unfortunately the dealerships here don't want to be mechanics, all they do is hook it up to a computer and if it doesn't show anything wrong then that is it. I think the days of real auto mechanics is over, nobody want's to trouble shoot, they are just part replacement engineers!

I know I mentioned this before, but has anybody checked your plugs,I replaced my factory plugs, the gap on them were all over the place,I still have a little rough idle when I have the AC going and it's really hot but no more stalls. My truck idles 100% better than before I did this.

That’s interesting. All over the place by how much? The gap on the HO is .040 I'm now wondering if that is part of the surge/bog under heavy acceleration problem I’m having. I need to the check the plugs ASAP. Thanks

I think it was another forum I ran into this advice just under a year ago.It worked for me,also the software issue was brought up to.No big deal swapping plugs out I went with NGK V-Power ZRF6F-11G for my non HO 4.7,.It was while back I did this but yea .040 the same for my non HO,half my plugs were on the money the other half ran .045 to almost .060.Blow out the holes before you pull em and use antiseize on the threads.

I have an 05 v8. It was running rough on me at lights but I had the same problem with an old 80 cutlass I had years ago. Whenever I put shell or BP gas in it, it would stall and run-on. So I did to my DAK what I did back then, changed brands, upgraded to Mid, and added additive. No no rough idling for about 6 weeks........So last week I tried to save a couple bucks and drop in octane, and fill-up at the closest shell..........The D@mn thing stalled yesterday!!! Anybody thinking what I'm thinking?

My 06 V8 has stalled on me 3 times in the 4 months I have had it. Had it checked out and it had no codes. After talking to the district parts and service manage form Mitsubishi, he said to put a new ECM in it and reflash it. He told me he had 1 other Raider doing it and that he talked to Dodge about it and that was the action they suggested. I will update you after the work is done.

I'm not suggesting go out and buy some super plugs,My owners manual says use copper core plugs,I've seen debates on forums about using platinum plugs, some people reason that Bosch wouldn't list plugs for our motors if they wouldn't work,I heard some people say they tried platinum plugs and they burned up others say no problems,I haven't heard much on iridiums.changing plugs on the 4.7 is easy,if it was a pain I'd probably be looking for alternatives.for people with idle and stalling problems,it might be a quick fix for them,a couple of the plugs I pulled were way over .040 this can't be good and probably would get worse with several thousand miles on them.I'm not putting down the Champion plugs that came in our trucks,I'm sure everybody has an opinion on who makes the best plug,

I've always been partial to Champion spark plugs, though it may have something to do with the big factory in my back yard.

The ECU did not fix the problem. It stalled again on me Sat.. I will take it back to the dealer and have them look at it again and then update you all on what they say.
