Default Truck has the level kit installed.

The front leveling kit is installed. When I get my camera Ill post pics but on sunday the rear 2" lift is going in so its going to be raked again. Point of the post is to let everyone know that the Trailmaster leveling kit, is inexpensive and really nice. Leveled the truck perfect, the ride didnt suffer. The rides a bit stiffer, but if that bothers you, you shouldnt own a truck. The dakota suspesion is way to soft from the factory as it is anyway. Truck is alot higher looking. 2 inches doesnt sound like much but turned out to be alot. 33" tires will def clear, I am currently running 32" tires. So, dont waste your money with an expensive leveling system if your going to get one, just get the trailmaster spacers. The original measurements I took from dead center of the axle to top of fender was 20" in the front, 22" in the rear. I now measure 21.8" in the front, 22.6 in the rear. The truck is leveled out with a stock trucks tailgate at the end though, the wheel to fender gap just increased because of angle in the rear, so its still just about a 2" lift for the front.

I give the kit two thumbs up for someone looking to get a little extra clearance.

Oh i forgot to mention, no alignment was needed for a 2" increase, the truck was still in spec.

its fun working on these trucks. there really is not much out there for our suspensions yet. i am still working with my guy here in ct, and a guy in cali to come up with some type of frt shock. if not then they should have heavy duty frt shocks by the end of 07

Amen to that. I'm damn near getting whiplash from these stock fronts.

Moose, he bought the Trailmaster Leveling Kit for the 05/06/07 Dakota. If you google it several sites will pop up selling it. And he is right, the kit is pretty much just spacers and is only about $80. I have seen some pics on the net, and it looks pretty sharp from what I have seen. I still want to see your pics though Monkey, as the pics on the web still have the stock rims/tires(ugly as all hell). Post as many as you can, because the leveling kit and some new rims/tires are my next upgrade. Also, try and get some without the 2" in the back, as I am trying to dump the raked look on my truck(hate it). Thanks for your help monkey.

I posted the link a couple of times for AIM, they make a adjustable coilover for a 1 to 3 inch drop. It's no help for you guys looking to go higher and around $400 a little steep for me. Is it just me or there seems to be a lot of confusion by some members on exactly what kind of setup we have on our trucks?http://www.truckn-store.com/product....p&ID=99921

You can drop the back to around 4inches with shackles and hangars. That's what I'd like to do, 2 in the front and 4 in back. I have more ideals than cash though. If they do come out with some replacements for reasonable price I'll probably stay stock height in the front, if it's over $300 I'll really consider the low boys. Need to do something thats for sure.
