Any of you install it yourself? doesnt seem too difficult, specialty tools, spring commpressor and tie rod puller? I may order the trailmaster kit myself any opinions , comments? advice?
anyone? someone who has installed this kit, talk to me. I have a 2006 quad cab 4x4 laramie. I wanna get one i cant stand how low it is.
Only specialty tool you need is a spring compressor. I bought the cheapy at Autozone to do the install, about $20. I used the factory jack and did one side at a time. Nothing to it really, took a couple hours. I posted my detailed experience on herejust afterI installed mine, I will try to find that post.
Let me clarify that mine is the trailmaster kit but was purchased before the newinstructions so I used the replacement bolts and all. I'm thinking of swapping mine to the new install instructions but have been waiting for clarification from trailmaster on whether I can do that with my kit.
I heard somewhere that the truxx kit was recommended for 2x trucks. something about more stress on the front CVs.Seems that the TM kit does the same thing, though. Anybody?
