This is what I got from dodge:

"Thank you for contacting the Dodge Customer Assistance Center in regards
to your 2011 Durango.

We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction and understand how this
might cause concern. The characteristic you describe, however, is a
function of your vehicle's design and there is nothing that can be done
to ?fix? the condition. It is not a defect in materials, workmanship,
manufacturing or factory preparation and is, therefore, not covered
under the new-vehicle limited warranty.

Although a more favorable response could not be provided, I do
appreciate the opportunity to review your inquiry with you. Comments
like yours are one way we have to learn of improvements desired by customers.

Thanks again for your email."

So I guess it's just like that.

I have a Citadel with 600 miles and is clunking badly as well. Also have a loud click when accelerating or coming to a stop, everytime. Almost like a bad u joint. Is that possible with 600 miles? Havent taken it in yet, might have to but I hate taking vehicles in with a weird sound. Always seem to get the "Cant re-create customer concern" at the shop.

Don't know if it's normal or not, but mine makes this noise every time... :-(

I also have heard that this is an outdated tranny that is scheduled to be replaced with a 6 speed. (It probably won't clunk :-) )

it will be replaced by an 8 speed, not a 6 speed. Likely on the 2013 model.

Is that the MB sourced tranny?

It will likely do wonders for pickup and mileage.

Nope. There are little to no co-workings with MB now.
