DIY: MyGig Lock Pick V.4 INSTALL!
Great information, but my only question is if you don't hook up the factory rear view camera will it still work as it did with the factory settings? I really don't care to have a rear view camera while driving unless in reverse, and i don't want to cut any wires. Thanks
There is no need to cut any wires. It is completely plug and play. If you had a camera before it behaves exactly as it did before the Lockpick. The only difference is that you now have the OPTION to activate the rear-view camera while driving. The same goes for front cam, left and right cam, baby cam. Everything is user selectable options.
It's not the lockpick, but the chassis wiring. Look at this thread, Post 5

just what I needed. Traded in my 09 Ram for a 2011 R/T. I stripped my Ram in the dealership parking lot. After I confirm it'll work on the 730N I'll be using your directions to install my All Gig! Then again as easy as it is to get the radio out I may just go give it a shot.
I got my lock pick CHR550 today and have wondered now what happens when you take your vehicle in for service. Not a great time to ask this question I know.
Do the functions show up or should I try to turn the radio off before I take it in?
Does the vehicle computer show any changes. I wouldn't think so.
Thanks the great write up also as I more than likely would not have done this if I hadn't seen it.

1. They have no reason to look for it.
2. Installing it will not void any warranties.
3. If you are concerned that they might figure out it is in there; disable the override so that the radio functions as stock.

I installed my Lockpik in my 2011 Ram 1500 Crew about 2 weeks ago. install was a piece of cake, but I noticed today when i plugged up my Ipod, i had no control on the screen. it was just blank. Everything else works fine. Any ideas anyone?
Ok, I posed this question in another thread and did not get a fix so I'm asking here. My RBZ plays the audio portion of a DVD but no video (none when in park, moving, none). I do not have rear entertainment system. Will the V4 make the video play? Any reason the video doesn't play as is?
