A few hundred complaints is nothing, it happens with every make of care. And out of around 100,000 Durangos made that will not change how a magazine changes their rating. You always hear from the people who buy the cars with problems not the ones that have had no problems. That's how retail works, people take the effort to complain, yet rarely ever take the effort to say they have a great product.

Either way, nobody can ignore that there are problems being brought up on this forum that are consistent to this vehicle. And there are probably many more people out there with the same problems that we dont hear from here. We'll see what Chrysler does to address them.

I didn't read all this thread but I get the indication that someone doesn't like his Durango. Sorry to hear that he having problems with it but I'd like to offer my experience with ours.
We bought a '12 R/T in late October. We sold our '07 Audi Q7 4.2 S Line for it. My wife loves her new Durango and doesn't miss the Audi at all. The difference in price between these two cars when new is over $24K. The R/T has more power, we both like the handling better, more space, the fit and finish, materials used etc isn't as good but it's far more than good enough for us. We have, 3500 miles on it and no problems so far. And it'll tow more. The gas mileage is about the same but the Durango engine is much bigger.
The Audi was a great car and we didn't have any problems with it either. It was really slick when it was new but it was getting a little worn and decided to sell it while it still had good value.

I too am sorry if you're having buyer's remorse. I bought my 2011 Citadel in March of 2011 and now have 15000+ trouble free miles on it. It has been back to the dealer for: Oil Changes; that's it, nothing else.
Every new vehicle can have problems; the assembly line is not human-free and is therefore not error-free.
This is why there are warranties. We don't hear much from the folks that are driving a wonderful vehicle, but only the small minority that experience a failure and then think the vehicle is 'garbage'. Give the dealer a chance to fix the issues and if they aren't doing right by you, then go to another dealer and contact Chrysler corporate.
