What? So bump that post up, not create another. No idea what you are referring to.

Darkmanrob - Are the D1S lights advertised on the DDM site the same as the H11s? Are they one in the same? I have a pair of H11s I bought for my D HEAT I owned. I put them in and removed when I traded to the R/T. HEAT was fairly easy to change without removing bumper but R/T def. requires removal. Too lazy to remove and find out Any insight? Thanks!

They are more than likely different. Notice the notches on the H11 bulbs and how the D1S are round. So I'm assuming that they would fit in the back of the headlight differently. I've never had a car with projectors so I don't know how the back of the headlight housing looks.

Question

Hi I just joined but couldn't help it but u guys are doing the installation all wrong , the hid's from xentex cost 32$ on eBay. And it took me only 30 minutes to install on my 2012 crew. First of all you only need to remove the air box to get the left side and the right side u don't need to remove anything its spittle harder to set the bulbs in because the notches on the after market is a LOL bigger all u have to do is file it down a bit and that's.

Anyone use the DDM kit? If so did you need the error code eliminator or harness or just ordered the ballasts and bulbs and nothing else?

Just put HIDs in my 2011 Durango and it was very easy...I didn't get any flicker or error codes at all.I went with the 55 Watt 5000K which are bright as hell so I lowered the headlight with the screw on the top of the headlight to point down more and it looks great. Now all I have to put is H16 LEDs for the fogs and it will look perfect. This only took me 45 minutes to install. This is the kit I purchased: http://http://www.sharphid.com/product_p/slimhid.htm

I will put pics up tomorrow when I get the LED fogs..

Has anyone bought the DDM 55w kit without the BOW(error code thing) Has anyone bought the high beams as well?
I am thinking about buying the lows, highs, and led fogs for my wife's D(was ours till I bought a truck) Since the truck is "set up" for more pull(why there is an error code when you use the 35w ones because it should pull more) I shouldn't need anything but the kits(both high and low 55w) H11 is for the low beam what about the high beam(user manual is at home and I am at work)?

I'm not sure about the high beam but if you get a 55 watt set for you low beam you will never need to use your high beams again. I have a 55 watt set and they are brighter then my high beams. I just had to adjust my headlights so the light isn't in people eyes and more towards the road. I got my set with the BOW harness from sharp hid. I got 55watt 8K and a 5K pair but the 8K looks better because with 55 watt it washes put the color so a 8K bulb is more like a 6K bulb. If I were you I would just get a 55watt low beam set with a BOW harness they give me no problem.
