Default rattle at B pillar/seat belt housing

anyone else have this? sounds like a small piece of plastic on plastic action over any kind of rough road. tried sliding the seat belt up and down but doesn't seem to help. tried riding with with seat belt off, no luck. not exactly thrilled to tear off plastic panels on something so new (usually leads to more rattling), but now that i've noticed it, its all i concentrate on while driving

also sounds like stuff shifting around all the way in the back when going over large bumps/RR tracks quickly. thinking its just the cargo cover, though.

I haven't heard any rattling, but I also haven't had the cargo cover installed since I brought the D home. The plastic on plastic sound could definitely be that since it is that spring-loaded plastic braket holding it into the molded plastic indents.

Default Same Issue

Picked up my new Durango R/T on Dec 31, 2011 and now have 1100 miles. The rattling noise is just as you describe. It is either in the C-Pillar or passenger side middle row seat folding mechanism. It is super annoying and I am disappointed. I will be taking mine into the dealer this week.

Yep, I've got the same exact sounds coming from mine as well.

pinpointed mine, but couldnt fix it. mine is coming from the side curtain airbag. pulled off the b-pillar and played around with the ceiling. its some sort of plastic on plastic action right where the airbag is. so i left it alone. didnt want a broken nose from poking the wrong stuff.

havent gotten a chance to locate the rattle in the back. which is more of a thump than rattle. it's either shocks bottoming out, or something under the rear seats "flapping" from going over large bumps at higher speeds (30-up).

my annoyance list keeps getting longer the more i drive it. engine tick is my newest pet peeve.

Try and put some felt in between the plastic

Take a picture the next time you are in there and some possible steps involved as I am all for putting some felt in there like switchblade mentioned...it is so damn annoying.

I had the same highly annoying in the b-pillar area, the only problem I've had so far. I took it to my dealer and described the issue. 30 minutes later the called my name over the loud speaker announcing my car was ready. I thought, yeah right. But, the rattle is completely gone. They replaced the "Applique B Pillar" (part no: 57010262AB), according to the invoice. It also stated that the B-Pillar was replaced. I hope this helps others who might have this issue.
